藍鳥與遊騎兵這對「世仇」將在台北靜電機推薦時間7日清晨4時30分在5戰3勝的首輪季後賽對決，藍鳥今天宣布由Marco Estrada，遊騎兵由Cole Hamels主投。藍鳥重砲Jose Bautista的表現，相當受到矚目。
去年首輪季後賽藍鳥就是與遊騎兵對戰，遊騎兵隊先拿兩勝聽牌， 不料藍鳥隊靭性十足，接下來竟連勝3場，硬是把遊騎兵隊淘汰出局，Jose Bautista在這5戰打擊表現精采，二壘打、全壘打各2支，尤其是第5戰7局下的逆轉3分彈，帶給藍鳥最後勝利，但Bautista過激的動作也引來遊騎兵隊的不滿。
兩隊之間的火藥味延續到今年，5月15日之戰，遊騎兵隊後援投手Matt Bush先對Bautista投出觸身球保送，Bautista上壘之後，接著要滑上二壘的動作惹惱了遊騎兵二壘手Rougned Odor，兩隊在球場內演出全武行。現在藍鳥在外卡驟死賽轟退金鶯，又要在首輪季後賽對戰遊騎兵隊，戰況讓人期待。
藍鳥隊7日將由Marco Estrada先發，他本季戰績9勝9敗、防禦率3.48，對遊騎兵出賽2場，沒有勝敗成績，防禦率3.75。遊騎兵陣中，Carlos Beltran曾自Estrada手中轟出3支全壘打，對戰打擊率2成67，Mitch Moreland、Rougned Odor各有1支全壘打，秋信守也有1支安打的成績。
遊騎兵隊則由Cole Hamels先發，他本季戰績15勝5敗、防禦率3.32，本季沒有跟藍鳥隊對戰的成績。藍鳥隊陣中，Edwin Encarnacion對Hamels的打擊率是3成57，有1支全壘打，Troy Tulowitzki打擊率3成33，轟過2支全壘打，Russell Martin也轟過1支全壘打，最受矚目的Bautista，則是9打數3安打，打擊率3成33。
